LAAMB Office Coordinator
The LAAMB Office Coordinator provides support to Pastor/Priest, Wardens, Co-Chairs, and congregations, and coordinates LAAMB business communication. The key duties include preparation and distribution of bulletins, responding to enquiries, facilitate communication with congregations, Diocese of Huron, Eastern Synod, and National Office of ELCIC (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada), maintaining records, and ordering supplies.
The LAAMB Office Coordinator is the central point of contact for the LAAMB and vital to the administration and communications of the LAAMB. The person in this position requires the ability to work within a Shared Ministry of four congregations and a chapel:
Church of St. Edmund’s (Tobermory) (Anglican)
St. Margaret’s Chapel (Cape Chin) (Anglican)
St. Andrew’s Memorial (Howdenvale) (Anglican)
Trinity (Wiarton) (Anglican)
St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran (Wiarton)
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Administration
a. Preparation and distribution of Sunday and special worship bulletins and materials.
b. Updating and sharing calendar of LAAMB events,
c. Ordering office and worship supplies
d. Organizing and maintaining LAAMB records.
e. Organizing and maintaining Safe Church and police checks records.
f. Preparation of forms and documents for Diocese of Huron,
g. Preparation of forms and documents for Eastern Synod and ELCIC.
h. Preparation of Annual vestry and Annual General Meeting Report booklets,
2. Communication
a. Preparation of Parish Partnership Council, Annual Vestry/General, and Ministry Committee meeting agenda/minutes and distribution,
b. Direct enquiries to appropriate person,
c. Greet visitors to LAAMB office and answer phone/Emails,
d. Maintain confidentiality of LAAMB leadership and congregants,
e. Generate LAAMB correspondence as required,
f. Prepare and facilitate LAAMB advertising,
g. Maintain LAAMB website as webmaster.
3. Position Direction
a. Directly responsible to Pastor/Priest, Warden, and Co-Chair.
b. Directly accountable to Warden and Co-Chair.
Skills and Qualifications

Education
A high school diploma as a minimum.
Working Expectations
Expected to:
· Work 2 days/week, hours 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour for Lunch.
· Attend LAAMB Partnership and Ministries meeting once per month and record minutes of meeting (approximately 7 hours/month)
· Attend vestry, special vestry, and Annual General meetings and record minutes of meeting.
· Know and participate in Diocese Safe Church program
Working Conditions
1. Position has three (3) month probationary period
2. Hours of work: 14 hours per week and 7 hours per month.
3. Stipend of $21208.00 per annum.
4. In addition, LAAMB will pay employer share of Employment Insurance and Canada Pension Plan as applicable.
5. As a minimum, this position document will be reviewed annually,
6. A Performance evaluation will be completed by the Pastor/Priest, Warden and Co-Chair annually.

Parish Treasurer
The Parish Treasurer is responsible for the financial accounting of the Lutheran and Anglican Ministries of the Bruce Peninsula (LAAMB). The person in this position requires the ability to work within a Shared Ministry of four congregations and a Parish chapel:
The Church of St. Edmund’s (Tobermory)(Anglican)
St. Margaret’s Chapel (Cape Chin)(Anglican)
St. Andrew’s Memorial Church (Howdenvale)(Anglican)
Trinity (Wiarton)(Anglicans worshipping at the same location as Lutherans)
St. Peter’s Lutheran (Wiarton) (Lutherans)
The Parish Treasurer is directly responsible to the designated Warden and Co-Chair.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Finance
a. Keep the bookkeeping accounts of the Parish up to date,
b. Initiate cheque preparation with Parish Administrator as needed.
c. Assist the Finance Committee (Wardens, Co-chairs, congregational Treasurers) in developing an annual budget.
d. Produce monthly financial reports for presentation at the Parish Partnership Council meetings.
e. Produce annual Parish financial statements for vestry and congregational meeting,
f. Prepare annual financial documentation for the Diocese.
g. Prepare Annual Registered Charity Information Return for the Anglican Parish of the Bruce.
h. Prepare semi-annual HST Rebate filings.
i. Receive banking mail (from Parish Administrator) for bank reconciliations.
2. Communication
a. Present monthly financial reports to Parish Partnership council (PPC) communicating financial position.
b. Present the annual budget to be approved by Finance Committee to PPC.
c. Communicate with Finance Committee, calling meetings to review Budget as necessary, and make recommendations to PPC as needed.
Skills and Qualifications

· Technical skills required include basic accounting, bookkeeping, taxation,

· Familiarity with Accounting software such as Quickbooks.
Education
A high school diploma as a minimum.
Bookkeeping diploma and/or relevant bookkeeping workplace experience is required.
Working Expectations
Expected to:
· Provide a written report (highlighting deviations or issues) which designated co-chair or warden can present at PPC meetings.
· Attend annual vestry & congregational meeting and special vestry meetings concerning financial matters.
· Organize and attend budget meetings for the LAAMB.
· Know and participate in Diocese Safe Church program.
Working Conditions
1. Position has three (3) month probationary period
2. Approximately 5-10 hours per month (varies according to demands of the financial season).
3. Stipend $3000 per annum.
4. In addition, Parish will pay employer share of Vacation pay, Employment Insurance and Canada Pension Plan, as required.
5. As a minimum, this position document will be reviewed annually,
6. A Performance evaluation will be completed by the designated Warden and Co-Chair annually,
Conclusion
The Parish is looking for a Treasurer who is detail-oriented, organized and proficient. The Treasurer must be trustworthy and honest.
This document will be evaluated and modified as the needs of either the Parish or the Parish Treasurer arise.
