Playing Catch Up!

(including week 29 and week 30 Bible Reading lists)

Last week got away from me and this week threatens to do the same, so I offer up two weeks worth of reading lists for our Reading the Bible in one year project! A number of those who do not have the reference Bible we are using are behind by a few days … summer gets busy regardless of whether you live in cottage country or in the city!

So, here we go with our reading lists for week 29 (July 16-22) and week 30 (July 23-29).

A prayer for a Catching Up Week:

God of all time, God of all tasks, God of all things-to-do (and things-to-not-do) - help me with the many and various things I have to get caught up on. When the task-list feels longer than the time available, help me to prioritize - always putting time with you first, as you order all tasks and times best. Help my mind to be clear in whatever catching up I do. Help me to be present as I trundle through the day. Help me to rest deeply when the time is right for such rest, so that I have energy for the things I want and need to do. Remind me to take Sabbath rest! In Jesus name, Amen.

Friday July 17th: 1 Chronicles 24:1 to 1 Chronicles 26:11, Romans 4:1-12, Psalm 13:1-6 and Proverbs 19:15-16.

Saturday July 18th: 1 Chronicles 26:12 to 1 Chronicles 27:34, Romans 4:13 to Romans 5:5, Psalm 14:1-7 and Proverbs 19:17.

Sunday July 19th: 1 Chronicles 28:1 to 1 Chronicles 29:30, Romans 5:6-21, Psalm 15:1-5 and Proverbs 19:18-19.

Monday July 20th (we begin 2 Chronicles): 2 Chronicles 1:1 to 2 Chronicles 3:17, Romans 6:1-23, Psalm 16:1-11 and Proverbs 19:20-21.

Tuesday July 21st: 2 Chronicles 4:1 to 2 Chronicles 6:11, Romans 7:1-13, Psalm 17:1-15 and Proverbs 19:22-23.

Wednesday July 22nd: 2 Chronicles 6:12 to 2 Chronicles 8:10, Romans 7:14 to Romans 8:8, Psalm 18:1-15 and Proverbs 19:24-25.

Week 30 Readings:

Thursday July 23rd : 2 Chronicles 8:11 to 2 Chronicles 10:19, Romans 8:9-25, Psalm 18:16-30 and Proverbs 19:26.

Friday July 24th: 2 Chronicles 11:1 to 2 Chronicles 13:22, Romans 8:26-39, Psalm 18:31-50 and Proverbs 19:27-29.

Saturday July 25th: 2 Chronicles 14:1 to 2 Chronicles 16:14, Romans 9:1-19, Psalm 19:1-14 and Proverbs 20:1.

Sunday July 26th: 2 Chronicles 17:1 to 2 Chronicles 18:34, Romans 9:1-20 to Romans 10:13, Psalm 20:1-9 and Proverbs 20:2-3.

Monday July 27th: 2 Chronicles 19:1 to 2 Chronicles 20:37, Romans 10:14 to Romans 11:12, Psalm 21:1-13 and Proverbs 20:4-6.
